Thank you for using Thestival. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information Brainy Stuff processes when you use the Thestival app and why.

Information we process

You can browse festival information as a guest. The app stores some information locally on your device, such as saved preferences, watched artists and performances, and queued usage-analytics events. Guest data is not an account record, but it can remain on your device until you reset or remove it.

If you register an account, Supabase processes the email address or phone number used to authenticate it, together with the account information needed to provide the service. We do not request your contacts or photos.

Supabase service data

Thestival uses Supabase to provide authentication, store registered-account data, and supply festival content. Supabase may process service logs and technical information when the app communicates with its services. This processing helps us operate and diagnose the service and is not described as completely anonymous.

Crash and error diagnostics

Where enabled for the app environment, Thestival uses Sentry to process crash reports and error diagnostics. This may include diagnostic metadata, device and app information, performance traces, and session-replay information that helps Brainy Stuff investigate failures and improve reliability. Sentry’s privacy settings disable its default personally identifiable information collection, and session replay is subject to privacy masking, but diagnostic data may still be associated with a registered account identifier or an anonymous or pseudonymous user identifier where technically necessary.

Usage analytics

Thestival collects anonymous or pseudonymous usage events, such as screen views, artist and performance views, and favourites or watched items. Events are queued locally before being sent to Supabase when possible and may include the relevant festival context. They help Brainy Stuff understand which features are used and help festival organisers understand how their festival information is being used so that the experience can be improved.

Depending on the technical context, analytics may be associated with a registered account or an anonymous or pseudonymous identifier. This means we do not describe all analytics as fully anonymous. Pending local analytics events are removed when you use the app’s account-and-data deletion flow.

Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your Thestival account and associated data without reinstalling the app or signing in on this website. Visit Delete your Thestival account and data for the request instructions, or email [email protected] with the email address or phone number used for your account.

After a request is verified and processed, the remote account and associated personal or user data are deleted. The app’s local user data is also removed, including saved preferences, watched artists and performances, and queued analytics events where applicable. Brainy Stuff may retain information only where legally or operationally required and will explain this where relevant. We do not claim automatic deletion or a fixed processing time.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
